Why Evangelism?

East-West’s aim of taking the gospel to the unreached is rooted in the biblical truth that faith comes from hearing the good news (Romans 10:17). If the gospel is not preached, how can someone believe and call on the Lord (Romans 10:14)? Evangelism is key to sharing God’s story with the nations.

We passionately believe that everyone on Earth deserves the chance to hear this life-changing story of a Savior who can lead them out of darkness and into the light of redemption.

How East-West Evangelizes the Lost

Missionaries and national partners are equipped to share the gospel in unreached communities through building relationships with locals and discipling new believers. In addition, these gospel laborers also use the following methods to reach the unreached:

• Short-Term Mission Teams: Small teams partner with field workers to share the gospel in strategic locations.
• Jesus Film Project: Local believers show this story of Jesus’ life to people who have never heard it before.
• Digital Strategies: Online ads and social media posts connect searching people to a local believer and church.
• Medical Outreach: These teams can provide medical care and share the gospel with those who have never heard it.

A Life Forever Changed by the Story of Jesus

A mysterious illness had plagued Shreya for months, making her weaker every day until she was bedridden. Her husband, Vihaan, took Shreya to many doctors in South Asia to try to find answers, but the doctors couldn’t find the cause of Shreya’s illness.

One day, a neighbor invited Shreya and Vihaan to watch the “JESUS” film at his house. The film chronicles the story of Jesus, including His miracles of healing the sick. Vihaan carried his bedridden wife on a bicycle and traveled with their daughter to watch the film.

Vihaan was moved by Jesus’ compassion. At the end of the film, he prayed and asked Jesus to heal his wife. Jesus answered his prayer. Soon after watching the film, Shreya’s health began to miraculously improve. Vihaan was shocked that his wife was healing so quickly and knew Jesus had placed His healing hand on Shreya. Vihaan, Shreya, and their daughter decided to give their lives to Christ and were baptized one month after watching the “JESUS” film.

God is changing the lives of people like Shreya every day when they encounter the love of Christ for the first time.

Our Gift Acceptance Policy

Your financial contribution to the general ministry of East-West allows our organization to fully support the various ministry endeavors to which God has called our ministry. Funds for the general ministry of East-West will be directed to the areas of most need with the purpose of supporting our daily operations, strengthening our infrastructure, allowing for the flexibility to respond to new or changing conditions, planning for the long term, and investing in staff and technology.

East-West Ministries International attempts, whenever consistent with its charitable purpose and budget, to honor preferences expressed by our ministry partners regarding the use of their gifts. However, East-West at all times maintains full control over all funds donated to East-West and ultimate discretion as to their use, including redirection to other ministry needs. This ensures that all funds will be used most effectively to carry out East-West’s religious and charitable purposes, as required for contributions to be tax-deductible in the United States.

East-West Ministries International adheres to ECFA Standard 7.2 that states: Occasionally, givers request a refund of a charitable gift they made previously. Since contributions must be irrevocable to qualify for a charitable deduction, there generally is no basis to return a charitable gift to a donor.” However, on rare occasions a donor may be refunded if a gift was made in error, and it was clearly not the intent of the donor to initiate the charitable donation in the first place. This will be reviewed by the Financial Services Department on a case by case basis.
